A 4:3 Version is Also Available: • Test Drive / Test Drive 2 (Amiga)(4:3) - A... Welcome to a brand new season of playguide reviews from LemonAmiga. My name is Dan and I'll be showcasing another batch of classic Amiga titles over the next few weeks, to be released each Saturday. We begin with a bumper (almost 1 hour!) double edition featuring the Test Drive games on the Amiga. Hope you enjoy these shows. PRODUCTION NOTES: Video Captured: 10. May 13.(TD2) and 23 Aug. 13 (TD) Editing Started: 31 Aug. 13. Vid Completed: 29 Sept. 13. (with a colour fix on 29.Oct.13) Version: 8 Rev: 2 This cooking pot took some time to bring back to the boil. The initial edit took about a week and this included the narration; which as always (unlike AVGN) was unscripted and done Live. Then came the editing. As it turned out, I was unhappy with just about everything. The size and shape of the game window (I settled for a centred window), the colours and sharpness (I wanted a pin-sharp image but this damaged the colours), the blacks (yes it looks too dark now), the narration hiss, the volume of sentences and odd words, the volumes of the music and SFX Vs the narration (spent days trying to find a balance). Then came the glitches. Basically anything that could bug out or break, did so, and playing it through every single day would uncover a fresh batch of glitches to be ironed out. I finished the next 7 or 8 playguides and YET STILL I was returning to this video to fix things... In the end I just had to abandon it, times up. I guess the biggest problem was trying to recapture the free and easy tone of some of my personal favourite playguides I made for Season 1. Season 2 started quite a bit more professionally; so all the Ums and Errs and even deep breaths were removed to give it a more fluid magazine feel. I also left a few pauses here and there so you can hear the games. But my voice is lower and more 'sensible' this time, so its harder to spot my dry humour. As always, thank you for watching this channel. Stay tuned for more each weekend. www.lifeschoolphilosophy.com
