Massive Gator Finally Crosses Florida Trail (at Circle B)

Massive gator finally crosses Florida trail at Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, Florida. After watching this 10-12 ft gator sleep and hardly move for two days, I was thrilled to be there when he got a "change of scenery!" Unexpectedly, at around 5:00 pm after most hikers had cleared the trails (except me, of course), this big guy backed up out of his resting spot into the swampy water and slowly up to the trail and over the bank to the other side of the marsh. It was amazing to watch this gator make the tremendous effort necessary to move its weight, especially while on land. ***Make sure to watch his final climb over the bank to Lake Hancock where you'll truly see his massive size. ***Please note: I'm almost certain that this is the same gator that consumed a 5-6 ft cottonmouth snake last month - be sure to see that video and let me know what you think - it was posted on 1/3/26.
