Why did Jesus remain silent when He was falsely accused? In this message from Isaiah 53:7–9, we continue exploring the remarkable prophecy of the Suffering Servant, written centuries before the birth of Christ. Isaiah foretold that the Messiah would suffer injustice and oppression, yet He would not defend Himself—like a lamb led to the slaughter. This passage reveals the quiet strength and obedience of Jesus as He submitted to the Father’s plan for salvation. Though innocent of any wrongdoing, Christ endured unjust trials, suffering, and death so that sinners could be forgiven. Isaiah also foretells details of the Messiah’s death and burial, including His execution among criminals and His burial in a rich man’s tomb—prophecies that were fulfilled in the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. Through this prophecy we see both the humility and the innocence of Christ, who willingly suffered so that we might be reconciled to God. Passage: Isaiah 53:7–9 ▶️ New here?
