Cadets Push Through 38 Weeks of Rigorous Training To Commission As SAF Officers

For officer cadets Jordan Koh and Khwang Jia Ying, it was a journey fraught with struggles, setbacks and self-doubt. But the two reached for something deep inside themselves and overcame every obstacle they faced to ultimately commission as officers of the SAF. They were among 203 cadets who graduated from the Officer Cadet School, Singapore (OCS), and were commissioned as officers of the SAF this week at the SAFTI Military Institute. Officer Cadets at OCS undergo 38 weeks of rigorous training which sharpen their combat, planning and leadership skills. The newly commissioned officers will go on to assume command, instructional or staff appointments in the SAF.
