I Just Don't Know Anymore (Lyric Video)

Taken from my album, The Opal Tree, recorded in 2011 in Washington DC by my friend, and record producer extraordinaire, Thomas Johansen. This was the first song that we recorded, and was in many ways the template for the album that followed. I was greatly influenced by electronic music at this time. I was also thinking a lot of one of my favorite singers of all time, Annie Lennox, when recording this vocal. I tried to emulate some of her genius vocal ad libs at the end of the song. The chorus was somewhat influenced by my love of the band, The Police, with the long repetitive choruses that Sting would often write. This was an exciting moment during the recording of the album. I remember vividly listening to the first playbacks of this song with Thomas, and thinking this. I still think he rocks and I think Thomas did an incredible job of producing and mixing this song.
