2024 BMW 750e xDrive Review: Plug-In Power Meets Luxury The latest BMW 7 Series has been turning heads with its bold, controversial styling. But beneath that polarizing exterior lies a technological tour de force that may just represent the pinnacle of plug-in hybrid luxury. We spent a week with the 2024 BMW 750e xDrive to see if this electrified flagship lives up to its promise. Striking Presence, Opulent Interior There's no denying the 750e makes a statement. The split headlight design and massive kidney grille demand attention, for better or worse. Our tester wore an elegant two-tone paint scheme with a silver upper body and black lower section, complete with a Rolls-Royce-esque pinstripe. Inside, the cabin is a masterclass in luxury, with quilted Merino leather, crystal accents, and a 31-inch theater screen for rear passengers. Smooth Operator Under the hood, BMW combines its silky-smooth 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with a potent electric motor. The result is a combined 483 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. This plug-in powertrain delivers effortless acceleration, with BMW claiming a 0-60 mph time of 4.8 seconds. In practice, it feels even quicker off the line thanks to the instant torque from the electric motor. Electric Dreams The 750e can travel up to 34 miles on electric power alone, perfect for emissions-free city driving. An 18.7 kWh battery pack provides the juice, though DC fast charging is notably absent. Still, the ability to glide silently through town in this luxurious land yacht is truly special. Tech-Forward Features BMW's latest iDrive 8.5 infotainment system is a highlight, with crisp graphics and improved usability over its predecessor. The 750e also borrows tech from BMW's fully-electric models, like an adaptive regenerative braking system that automatically adjusts based on traffic conditions. The Price of Luxury All this technology and luxury comes at a cost. Our well-optioned tester carried a staggering price tag of nearly €180,000 (about $191,000 USD). That's certainly in ultra-luxury territory, but the 750e delivers an experience to match. #BMW750e2024 #BMW750e #BMW750efirstlook #BMW750e2024exterior #BMW750e2024interior #BMW750ewalkaround #BMW750edetails #BMW750enew ➡️ Discover all new cars before anyone else!
