Azerrad interviews Krist, Dave, and Kurt about the "recording" of their 4th studio album, In Utero. Steve Albini courts controversy by not only calling Courtney Love a "Psycho Hose-Beast" but also talks trash about Gold Mountain (Nirvana Management) & major record label DGC to the Chicago Tribune. At first, Kurt & the rest of the Nirvana are okay with how In Utero turned out but after the guys get back to Seattle, Nirvana personnel begin to cast doubt over the record's commercial appeal. Two other producers are brought in to tweak the album, leaving Albini livid that what he calls the best record Nirvana ever made, has been altered. Azerrad also discusses his last conversations with Kurt & how their relationship sadly ended on a sour note. The Seattle music community has never been the same since Cobain's untimely passing.
