At this point everyone knows that Austin, Texas has some of the tastiest foods, coolest restaurants, and best bars in America. We've been to Austin multiple times, but we just keep finding more amazing restaurants and great vibes every time we go. So . . . we are back in Austin to sample more great foods! This time we ventured around the city with a couple of locals who gave us some spot-on recommendations that kept us full and happy. You want to know how good the food scene is? We found Valentina's Tex Mex BBQ, a legendary roadside location just outside of Austin serving the single greatest piece of brisket we've ever tried. . . and the fact that it's served on a homemade, corn-tortilla makes it even better. Then there's Meanwhile Brewing, a family-friendly craft beer destination where the atmosphere is just as good as the beer. And if that wasn't enough, the Distant Relatives BBQ, one of the top ranked BBQ spots in Texas, has a food truck there. Distant Relatives serves up a fresh take on the BBQ scene, providing "modern African American" flavors, and y'all--it's spicy and freaking delicious.
