In those unmatchable surroundings, one can't help but feel inspired and moved by the incredible scenery and beauty of nature. During my times there surrounded by the mountains, lakes, aspens, pines and animals, and the peace afforded by those wonders, melodies and ideas would run through my head- and so for the past 1-2 years I've been writing and recording a new project of acoustic songs that I'll be releasing in full soon. This first song, Aspen, is almost self explanatory. The colors of the aspen trees and the mountains in Colorado are astonishing anytime of year, but especially in the fall and winter. As I was hiking around Silverton and Ouray Colorado, this melody kept coming to me, and I couldn't wait to get back to finish it.
