My Metal Cover of Barbarianism from Runescape! back with some more Runescape. It's been over a month since my last OSRS Metal Cover, so I thought it's time to do one again. This song has been on my to do list for a long time as the theme and the name Barbarianism has a Metal vibe to it, so I had to do a Metal Cover of it. I experimented more on metal riffs with this song and I'm really happy with how my rhythm guitar playing on this song is. It's more riffs instead of just strumming root power chords the whole time. I feel my arrangements are improving a lot! I'm almost done covering enough of the popular OSRS songs to make a full album of it. When I save up some more money, I plan on redoing some of the songs and just polish them and get ready to make it into an album. I still also have to reach out to Jagex in terms of the licensing and all that. I'm so excited for you guys to hear the whole album when it's done. I've always wanted to do an album of some sort with video game music and Runescape was what I want! I changed up my lead and rhythm guitar tone! Most of my covers I've been using Amped Roots from ML Sound Lab. It sounded okay, but I felt like it sounded really thin and a bit fuzzy. I had to do a lot of processing to the tone, to make it sound somewhat decent. I now switched to Neural DSP and it was the best decision I ever made. I'm specifically using the Archetype Gojira Plugin. I'm so happy with how my rhythm and lead tone sounds in this video. They don't sound too trebly anymore and more mid and a little bit more bass, which sounds super tight, especially for breakdowns, like in this video!
