I show you how to get an easy estimation of the gold in your specimen without breaking it apart. By working out the specific gravity of your specimen & comparing that to the specific gravity of the host rock. Using a gold specimen I found with the SDC 2300 metal detector in a previous video. This is an easy method but not 100% accurate & is only an estimation of the gold, as there is many variables affecting the outcome as each piece of quartz is slightly different, scale accuracy isn't perfect, weight of cotton etc.. There are also some great websites with more in depth specific gravity calculations & more accurate methods which give great results to. The Formula: Specimen Specific Gravity = Dry Weight / (Dry Weight - Wet Weight) (Specimen Specific Gravity / Quartz Specific Gravity) * 100 = Gold Percent Dry Weight / 100 * Gold Percent = Rough Weight in Gold Thanks for your support please Like & Subscribe Support 'GOLD Mack' Donate with PayPal https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr... #GOLDPROSPECTING #METALDETECTING #SDC2300 #GRAVITY #HIGHBANKING
