Welcome to my series of videos about the Jens Soering case. I’m an American lawyer and writer living in Germany. The first series on this channel will be a deep dive in the case of Jens Soering. Soering was convicted in 1990 of the 1985 murders of Derek and Nancy Haysom in Bedford County, Virginia. He was released on parole and deported to Germany in 2019. He is now trying to establish a career in Germany as a life coach and online influencer, while simultaneously claiming his innocence. Haysom, in which I was an interview guest.I have just released a book which traces the entire history of this case from 1984 to 2023. In this first episode, I outline the history of the case. I then highlight six key pieces of evidence which convinced an American jury to find Jens Soering guilty of murder.
