Reviewing the Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G, a flagship-style smartphone rivalling the Pixel 5 with a triple-lens camera, Snapdragon 765G performance and stand-out design. At £600 it's not as soundly specced as the Samsung S20 FE or OnePlus 8, but there's plenty to love here for Oppo fans. I've been testing the Reno 4 Pro as my full-time phone so here's my final verdict on this UK 5G handset in 2021. The camera may not be quite as infallible as the Pixel 5's but I found it produced good looking photos across a range of conditions. The night mode helps out in low light and the video chops are solid too, although the zoom lens is limited in its abilities. You can happily play the latest games and titles like PubG on high detail with a smooth frame rate, plus 180Hz touch sampling. ColorOS adds that Game Space tool, even though this is old software (Android 11 and ColorOS 11 hopefully coming soon). Of course, other phones like the OnePlus 8 are more future-proof with their SD865 chipset. And while you get 5G support on the Oppo Reno 4 Pro, it's on one SIM only. Battery life is solid however, only dropping fast when you make a lot of use of those cameras (for Zoom and the like). And I approve of that design, which is fairly compact and very slick. So that's my review, check out my other Oppo videos including my long term verdict on the Find X2 Pro.
