Matt Furniss SEGA Genesis Music Compilation (Real Hardware)

Here's a massive compilation of SEGA Genesis music from one of my favourite composers on the system: Matt Furniss! This compilation was a long time coming, and I have been slowly working away at it for the last few months (you might've seen a bunch of Matt Furniss soundtracks appear recently, this is why). Of course, everything was recorded from a real SEGA Genesis model 1 for the best quality. Matt Furniss composed and arranged the soundtracks for 46 SEGA Genesis games over a period of about four years (almost a new soundtrack per month on average!). I can't think of anyone else who has come close to that impressive number. Shaun Hollingworth was the programmer of the sound engine used in all of Matt Furniss' soundtracks. The sound engine not only had great sounding instruments, but also allowed for high quality sample playback, making his stuff have some of the clearest drums on the system. While it didn't make use of the PSG chip, he did take advantage of a special mode which allowed one channel to play 3 notes simultaneously, see if you can hear it in some of the tracks! I recently made a playlist of all the full soundtracks I've uploaded from him, so be sure to check it out for more good stuff. My first draft for this compilation was over 10 hours, but I ended up trimming out a lot to make it a bit more manageable. I think my top 5 favourite soundtracks he composed (not in any particular order) are Puggsy, Alien 3, ResQ, Wiz 'n' Liz, and Boogerman.
