Scores: The Hopper earns 1 stars in EUCF NCAP's tests. It was rated Good in both frontal tests. Against a Mobile Deformable Barrier (MDB), both traveling at 50 km/h, The structure was stable and the steering wheel movement was negligible. In the full offset test it performed similarly to the other frontal test. In the side test with a MDB traveling at 60 km/h, Hoppers structure held up fairly well however the door opening presents a risk of ejection. In the pole test, the protection would be expected to be fatally bad if the vehicle has no head protection. In the rear MDB impact test, the vehicle combusted. Fuel system was severely compromised. In the roof test, the vehicle held up fairly well.
