Various of smoke rising from several sites in Tehran following Israeli strikes STORYLINE: Smoke was rising from at least three sites in the Iranian capital after Israel warned hundreds of thousands of people in the middle of Tehran to evacuate. The Israeli strikes included an attack on the Iranian state broadcasting building, which abruptly stopped a live broadcast. During the broadcast, an Iranian state television reporter said the studio was filling with dust after “the sound of aggression against the homeland.” Suddenly, an explosion occurred, cutting the screen behind her as she hurried off camera. The broadcast quickly switched to prerecorded programs. Later on state TV aired live video of the building on fire.
