Beer Head to Pinn Cove out and return 26 October 2024

We took a punt on an early Saturday morning and drove the two hours to beautiful Beer Head near Seaton on the south coast. Graham, Dave and I flew while Peggy took a long constitutional and a paddle down on the beach. We flew for two hours and landed feeling pretty pleased with ourselves and very nearly left it at that, but there seemed to be still time to fly a little more after we'd had a drink and a bite to eat. Good thing we did as it turned out, as the breeze had picked up and backed ever so slightly toward the south, which made it fairly plain sailing to cross the Sidmouth sea front and on to High Peak and Pen Cove. With a favourable wind the return leg was even easier. A first visit to this stunning site, but certainly not my last. We rounded off the day with some fish and chips in Seaton afterward. Thanks to; Graham, Dave and Peggy for wonderful company on an outstanding Autumn day!
