Oba-Ile Leaders Accuse Deji of Akure of Land Encroachment, Seek ODSG Intervention

The people of Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State have asked the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, to desist from what they described as attempts to annex their land and impose authority over communities under their traditional jurisdiction. At a press briefing, community leaders expressed displeasure over a recent advertorial allegedly sponsored by the Odopetu of Owode on behalf of Owode, Araromi, and Eleyowo communities, denying cultural or historical ties with Oba-Ile. Our correspondent, Abidemi Akinrotoye, reports.
