They made this 3 hour trip on a weekly basis just to be with each other. They hadn't decided to move in with each other because Tina Marie had made a promise to herself that she would never move in with anyone until they were married. However, she eventually took a leap of faith (with Peter) to leave her small town and find a new life and job in LA to move in with Peter. Little did she know that by the end of their trip, she would not have had to break her promise at all.
