Scanning a Form with Grblgru

This feature of Grblgru allows the scanning and STL creation of Your turned form. A simple Z axis probe is all that is needed. The probe used for this is no more than a wire pushing up on a micro switch. After the data points are recorded they can be saved as a .dat file, turned into an STL file for use in Grblgru or other programs, or exported to COrnlathe for design. All of this is very easy to do as you will see. It is important to click on Origin before starting the scan, specify the Radius of the object, specify the Width in mm, as well as the Spacing of the points. Positive numbers for Width scan from left to right.
