Any reef angler will know, see that lovely red colour and everyone hopes for a big Red Emperor only to be disappointed with a chinament fish. They fight hard and I reckon they'd almost pull a Red Emperor backwards, big call I know, but you know whenn you've done battle with one. We do get the odd one, but this spot we pulled up at least half a dozen each between 10 and 15 Kilograms, big solid fish in anybody's book. This was some of the unreel fishing action on a three day trip to a remote reef, Charlie's bommie about 150 kilometres offshore, Heaps of big red emperor, Spanish Mackerel and heaps more to mention, Subscribe with heaps more videos coming from that trip. Chinamen fish are protected due to Ciguatera Poisoning, so make sure you release them, not worth the risk of getting food poisoning from these fish when spoilt with so many great reef fish species.
