🦖 2D ‘Standing’ T-Rex Cake Decoration 🦖 I have made this tutorial showing how I create the T-Rex decorations on the front of some of my cakes. This method can be use for any decorations for a cake, it’s a method I find easier for tricky decorations like dinosaurs. This helps get the right size and proportions by working on an actual picture. You can use any image you may find online, this is my favourite. I print 2 out, one I keep on the side so I can see details and the other I cover the picture with some baking parchment and work on that so my paste doesn’t stick to the printed picture. This dinosaur is made from Saracino modelling paste. I make the pieces up in sections, like a puzzle and then place them together on the cake when ready. I have shown on a cake dummy, how I put the dinosaur together, you will see one leg stands out from the cake and would be on the cake board to give it a more 3D standing effect. For the stripes on the dinosaur’s back, you could paint these with a darker green too if you prefer. I don’t use many tools for this dinosaur.
