An emeraldestoc.com production Deltarune is special. I don't think there's any question about it. It's a story that seemingly KNOWS it itself is something really great. It's amazing, and at this point, it's probably my favorite game of all time if I'm being unbiased. But what is it about this little game that makes it work so well? What makes it so incredible? What makes it so different from everything that came before, different from Undertale, while still sharing a lot of the same elements? It's all in the metanarrative, baby. It's all about the power of stories retold, all about the ways old stories can be reforged into new ones. It's great. I also really like the episodic release structure, I think it's an awesome way of keeping people interested in the long term. I owe a lot personally to Chapter 1, but in spite of that, I have to admit Chapter 4 is the best one. By far. I DO spend half of this thing rambling about it after all. Which one is your favorite?
