According to reports, this story contest lowered the threshold for participation in the event by means of telling. The word "all the people" increased the participation of the whole society, attracting wide participation from all walks of life and all walks of life. Among the contestants, there are students, veterans, hosts, takeaways, commentators, tour guides, anchors, etc., including some international friends. The youngest is only 4 years old and the oldest is 80 years old. The content of the entries and the selection of topics present diversified characteristics, including both book content and original works. Through the voice, the 80-something old man portrays the baptism of the years that the old buildings have experienced, and the 4-year-old baby can also talk about the architectural past that she hasn't understood, those parents said. The competition also invited well-known cultural scholars, famous hosts, descendants of celebrities, etc. to participate in the competition to increase the height of public participation, expand the coverage of the event, and increase the influence of the event. Professor Han Bin of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Zhou Ping, director of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, and Xu Xiang, a well-known Shanghai opera actor, respectively talked about where they work, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, and the Shanghai Shanghai Theater. Sheng Shanshan, the daughter of the literary translator Cao Ying, and comics Zhang Weijun, the son of Zhang Leping, and others described the Cao Ying study and Zhang Leping’s former residence where their parents worked and lived. In addition to the well-known city landmarks and online celebrity check-in spots, the buildings told by the contestants in this story contest also have a relatively small number of outstanding buildings. Some of them are located in inconspicuous small alleys, and some are scattered in the outer suburbs of the city, but through this competition, their stories have been deeply unearthed, and the buildings have been rejuvenated with new vitality. The adult contestant Huang Yiqing is the granddaughter of the well-known calligrapher Huang Baohu. The story she tells revolves around the three-story small attic on the roof of her house. Although the attic seemed inconspicuous, it was an important place for underground work on the secret front at the time. Calligrapher Huang Baohu used his own identity as a cover, and underground workers often held meetings in the small attic. In the building, there are also the Caobao Road Bridge No. 7 bunker in Minhang District, which witnessed the Battle of Liberation of Shanghai, and Fengxian District, which witnessed the peasants rising up to resist and defeating the Kuomintang’s rule of the Zhuang Xing Riot Martyrs Monument.
