Bernina Regional Train Ride Tirano-St Moritz

‪@Dean_Trips‬'Dean and Isabele ride the standard Bernina Regional train from Tirano, Italy to St Moritz, Switzerland and back in September 2025. The standard train costs less than the special panoramic Bernina Express and rides the same route. The full experience is to ride the train all the way to Chur, Switzerland which is about a 4 to 4.5 hour journey. Dean and Isabele ride a little over 2 hours to St Moritz and then return to Tirano. The cloudy and a few times rainy day clears up on the way back. The couple spend an hour in St Moritz then get off the train on the way back to hike down to the beautiful lake at the Alp Grüm stop. The hike down crosses over the tracks a couple of times and the trail leads to a restaurant. The clouds and lake and stone house with the waterfall in the background is a spectacular sight. The sheep come towards Dean and Isabele and the sheep herding dogs are not happy to have them the foreign humans there. The hike back up to the train station is steep and the altitude can be felt. The train journey is beautiful in every way.
