This video shows the experimental protocol for sequencing of 16s rRNA from an Environmental Sample. This is an efficient method to characterise the microbial community using environmental sample. Here the Ion-Torrent Bench-top sequencer is used, following the standard protocol, (amplicon purification, emulsion PCR, library preparations, sequencing and data analysis). Also shown is the NGS data analysis using Fastq files and converting them to Fasta files followed by sequence analysis for 16s rRNA.
