Hear directly from the CEO of an all-volunteer nonprofit that successfully launched a Holiday End-of-Year Match Donor Campaign on Givebutter. Danilla Sands of United Disaster Relief of Northern California shares the steps she took, how she engaged her supporters, and what made the campaign a success for this much needed community-based organization. At the end, hear from six other organization stewards in a Q&A as they introduce their work and a question for Danilla. Why does the donor match strategy matter? Her organization serves clients who have nothing after surviving a disaster. Campaigns with a donor match raise 3–5x more donations, which means more support for the organization's clients. Donors love knowing their gift will go further, and are especially ready to give during the Season of Giving at year-end. As a Flow Fund Ambassador for Kinship Earth, I (Adriana) was honored to give Danilla a $100 donation that became $200 with the match. I look forward to being able to give another donation this year for her organization's holiday presents wishlist drive. Year-end is a time of year when 30% of all annual donations are made, so with the right strategy (such as a donor match), holiday season of giving campaigns can bring you results that make a difference. In the conversation, Danilla talks with me about her background and vision, then shares how she set up the campaign. You'll get to see the front end and the back end, plus hear behind-the-scenes suggestions for how to build relationships that can lead to matching donations. In the Q&A, hear what other inspiring organizations are doing: Monica Santoyo, Women for Change Coalition Sierra Van Zandt, Living Classrooms Lorree Lewis-Crandell, Creating a Pathway to Everyday Living Bailey Faustina, Health Projects Center Vanessa Segura, Health Projects Center Jordan Rosner, Connie's Clubhouse Each are participating in ImaginePod's Impact Incubator to implement their fundraising campaigns collaboratively.
