In this video series, Andy (Kent Survival) and I head off to the Swedish Wilderness for a five day canoeing and bushcraft adventure inspired by Dave Bliss’ book ‘Paddles and Polar Bread’. Paddling along the massive lake Stora Le, we experience all the weather Sweden can throw at us, from glorious sunshine, to snow and strong winds whipping the lake up into a raging turmoil of waves and spray. We take all our equipment and food with us in our aluminium Linder canoes and camp in Dano huts or wild camp along the way. This video is episode two, an unexpected day of remaining in camp while Andy recovered from illness. After a hearty breakfast of pancakes and syrup, I take the opportunity to explore further up the shoreline of the lake and battle with strong cross winds and rain to cross over the lake to check out some cliffs on the other side. In this episode, I also go through my clothing load out for the trip. I hope you enjoy the video and please tune in for the next episode. Thanks for watching! Links Paddles and Polar Bread.
