I this video, I show the steps used to 'jury-rig' broken (from metal fatigue) battery contacts inside Shure PG-81/PG81 condenser "instrument" microphones. These microphones are rather old, and I plan to replace them with the current PGA81 version, which are 'phantom powered' types, using Shure's program for accepting obsolete models, and then replacing them with new microphones for the cost of the normal repair.
