So, friends it was adventure and fun to ride ferry launch from Howrah to Babughat. Just near the Howrah Railway Station, there is Howrah Launch ferry ghat. One can have launch from Howrah station to Fairlie Ghat, Baboo Ghat, Telkal Ghat, Chandpaul Ghat and Bally. On arriving there we saw country wooden boats, ferries and launchs over the river Hoogly. Howrah bridge is built over river Hugli in west Bengal, India. It is the world's third longest Cantilever bridge and was commissioned in the year 1943. Babu ghat is originally named after Baboo Raj Chandra Das who was the zamindar of Janbazar. His wife Rani Rashmoni built the Babu ghat in 1830, in memory of her husband. The ferry ghat is always crowded with passengers plying for Howrah Railway Station to Babu ghat and from Babu ghat to howrah railway station. Now a days baboo ghat is encroached with many vendors and pandas performing rituals.
