(Self-isolation Day 19) In this exercise, I am going to show you a quick method of modeling a batten screen using the Beam System. Here are the steps: 1. Load a structural beam(framing) 2. Create a beam system, set work plane on the wall, pick boundaries, adjust spacing and set beam direction. 3. Finish the beam system, adjust the z justification of the framing if it is on the other side of the work plane. This will become the structure behind the battens. 4. copy and paste the beam system in the same place, set the work plane onto the face of the beam in the previous beam system. 5. Edit the boundary, change the beam direction. This will become the batten screen. 6. Finish the beam system, adjust the space, beam type, as well as z justification, if required. 7. If you want this screen to follow the doors and windows, lock the boundaries. That's it. Let me know if it's not clear.
