Amtrak B32-8WH Rescues Stalled Auto Train

Amtrak 52 auto train broke down right beside Kings Dominion Park at Doswell, VA. The trailing loco broke down so Amtrak and CSX crew members rushed to get the locomotive back up and running. Amtrak P089 Palmetto Picked Up Amtrak B32-8WH 511 at Lortan Auto Train Terminal on the rear of P089 to continue down to the Buckingham Branch Diamond at Doswell a few hours later. After they got Amtrak 511 attached to the train it took the crew 2 hour to finally get the train moving. After I got home One of the engineers told me on P052 with Amtrak ALC42 358 had a coolant hose break on the motor and destroyed the motor before it shut itself down. So continued north with the one but had to stop where he did because of a foreman in charge who wouldn’t answer his calls. Then where he got stopped he wasn’t able to get going again. Big thanks to the CSX and Amtrak engineers for this Heads Up and I’m glad I filmed it.
