Greece is reported to have in the region of 350 native grape varieties, most of which are never found outside the country. Join Anna from the Tastings Team as she explores a handful of the most prominent and exciting varieties that we’re lucky enough to be able to bring to our members. She’ll cover history, where they are grown and the styles of wine that they make with some producers to watch for too. She’ll explore white varietals ranging from the rose-hued roditis, to the now famous flagship assyrtiko, and fragrant moschofilero. For reds, there’s not only the famous xinomavro (already a member favourite) but also age-worthy agiorgitiko and more. So, join Anna to better understand the varieties and taste a few along the way.
