Micro Mother Goose was one of Software Productions' first titles for the Apple II. I was hired in the Spring of 1984 to port it to the Commodore 64. We retained the original art files (Dan Chang ported his Apple II shape library to the C-64), and to leverage the SID chip, I wrote a new musical package including a composing tool, a synth voice tool, and a background (interrupt-driven) player. I used the Apple II version as the "script" for the action and wrote new animations from scratch. There are three interactive games included in the package (not shown here) that I wrote from scratch. This was one of our last new titles. A few months after shipping this, our publisher, Reader's Digest Software, ceased selling software titles. The company dissolved shortly thereafter.
