This is the recording of the first webinar of INAE Webinar Series held on May 23, 2020. The webinar was inaugurated by Mr. K Ananth Krishnan, FNAE EVP and CTO, TCS with a briefing on 'Launch of INAE Webinar Series' Webinar Topic covered: 1. Enterprise Digital Twin- Webinar by Vinay Kulkarni, FNAE Chief Scientist, TCS Research & Development Enterprise Digital Twin by Adaptation has emerged as one of the top needs across businesses. While adaptation in a bounded space has been a well-studied problem, imparting adaptability in the face of partial information and uncertainty has remained comparatively unexplored. To address this critical need, TCS have conceived a line of attack that builds further on established results from Modelling & Simulation, Artificial Intelligence, and Control Theory. At the heart of this approach lies the concept of Digital Twin - a hi-fidelity digital representation of reality that is amenable to what-if and if-what simulations. We have developed the core technology to support this approach in a human-in-control manner. Apart from generating technology IP and creating significant scholastic impact, we have demonstrated validity and efficacy of the approach and associated technology in real life situations. The talk will motivate the problem, outline the line of attack and core technology along with the benefits accruable, and illustrate the benefits in three real-life situations. We conclude by outlining future research needed.
