Midnight Longing: Bawu (reed flute) original composition 子夜情思 巴乌 原创曲目 唐代汉服 (Tang Hanfu China)

Composition’s inspiration: I am wearing a Tang Dynasty Yuanlingpao in this video, as the inspiration behind this piece is a Tang Dynasty poem by Li Yi “writing about love”. The poet was stood up by his date and he said “since then i have lost all love for every gentle night, and I would not care even if the moon sinks behind the tower from the west.” I imagined his disappointment, anger and sadness and composed this piece :’) 此曲灵感来源：唐代李益《写情》有云“从此无心爱良夜，任他明月下西楼。”看见网上有个人巧妙地把爱字换成了恨字，觉得这样更为巧妙。想了老半天，让我作诗不太行，作曲估计还可以:) Thanks to my friend Lindsey for filming the video and turning the pages for me! I planned to play and upload videos of the Dizi (Chinese flute) initially, but turns out that the Dimo (flute membrane unique to Chinese flutes) packs I bought are like from 7 years ago and they can’t vibrate when I play the high notes and resulted in very poor sound quality. I bought some new ones from China but it’s gonna take like 1 month to arrive so… :’) let’s play something that doesn’t have the membrane for now. Thanks for watching!
