Posing and re-posing miniatures in zbrush. To work more closely with me as a develop miniatures for Relicblade you can support me on Patreon. As a patron you will get special access to my studio and you will be welcome to ask me any questions. / metalkingstudio Posing a miniature can be a rather daunting task. On one hand you may have sculpted a highly detailed figure in a T pose, a character standing in a neutral stance with their arms stretched to their sides, or you may be working from a previous sculpt to create something new. As miniature sculptors we have a unique task of creating visually dynamic characters who will only really appear in a single stance. Miniatures are sculptures, which is quite unlike a video game asset. In this video I start working on a new character who is part of a race of lizard-people. Because I have a previous sculpt of a character from this race I will use the previous sculpt as a base to start something new! I don't go into a terrible level of detail about controls or techniques, but rather give you a few principals to think about as you work on posing your sculptures.
