The new Create it REAL feature, is a sure way to avoid the step-effect! The goal of this feature is to improve the surface quality of objects with lots of details or curved surfaces. With layer resolution modifier, you can change the height of specific layers. For this benchy for instance, we only used the fine layer resolution in certain areas. This means we get the high resolution, where we need it the most, creating great quality fast. Where could this be applied? This feature would be welcomed in any object that has arched surfaces. By applying this modifier only on the last layers where it curves, this area will print with finer layers, but the rest will print fast, so you get optimal quality. Another example is an architecture model where the buildings have lots of details in one part, but the rest is straight. So, you can print the detailed part with finer layer height to get the best quality out of it. How to use it? By using the 3D Preview you can find out where is best for you to start and finish your layer height resolution modifier. You can even add more than one modified zone.
