The LEGO D&D Set Has a Major Flaw... So I Fixed It

When the LEGO D&D set, Red Dragon's Tale, was announced, I was incredibly excited. It comes with its own Dungeons & Dragons adventure, and I finally got the opportunity to run it—not for my regular group, but for their kids! It was their first-ever D&D session, so the pressure was on to make it a great experience. As I prepped, I immediately noticed a problem: the official set is beautiful, but it's not built to scale for a tactical D&D map. You can't even fit four minifigures in one of the bedrooms! In this video, I share how I solved this problem by combining the official LEGO set with my own custom-built modular D&D map system. I'll walk you through my process of using the gorgeous set for exploration and story, and then swapping to my larger, custom-built maps for encounters to create the ultimate LEGO D&D experience. The kids were on the edge of their seats for five hours straight, and it was a total blast.
