EAM Jaishankar To Visit US Next Week To Attend Critical Minerals Meet Hosted By Marco Rubio

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar is set to visit the United States next week as part of India’s ongoing diplomatic engagement with Washington, just days after India concluded its free trade agreement with the European Union amid rising trade tensions with the US. During the visit, he will attend a critical minerals meeting and will meet US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The trip follows a January 13 phone call between Jaishankar and Rubio, in which they discussed bilateral trade, civil nuclear cooperation, and other strategic areas including defence and energy. Jaishankar noted on X that both sides agreed to stay in touch on these issues.
