The Westfalenpark is a large public park in Dortmund, Germany. With an area of 70 ha, the park is one of the largest inner-city parks in Europe and is a popular destination for excursions and recreation in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is home to the German Rosarium, which presents it’s visitors with more than 3000 different types of roses, and is the venue for many concerts and regular events, such as the Juicy Beats Festival or the Festival of Lights. Tha attraction of the park is the Florianturm (Florian tower). The viewing platform of the Florian tower, stands 140 meters above the park, where a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and its surroundings awaits. Westfalenpark is part of a green corridor that extends from the Dortmund Zoo and Rombergpark almost into the city center. This park should be on your to do list if you visit Dortmund.
