So I ran into this recently when a customer wanted to upgrade her radio for a long trip. Me being the talker that I am, I kept asking questions and stumbled upon this problem that absolutely was annoying to fix, but well worth it for her. So what turned out to be a dead radio and no sound, it ended up being almost every wire in the door boot that was broken. Windows did not work in the 2016 and 2017 Jeep Compass. Door locks did not work, windows would work when they wanted to. All from the garbage wires that Jeep used to run from the door to the interior of the vehicle.
