Thoughts: Hummer Extreme Edition is an upgraded version of Hummer. Both are pretty much the same game. Hummer is a Sega arcade exclusive which is a huge shame as this game is absolutely incredible. I wish my local retro arcade had this. It has General Motors licensed Hummers racing each other, doing jumps, boosting into obstacles, and other racers. Seriously I hate this term, but this is a hidden gem. Hummer and Hummer Extreme Edition both have four tracks. Both also have race and time trial modes. Hummer features four different variants of Hummer models. You pick your Hummer and off to the races you go. You compete with nineteen other racers. There are a couple of ways to go faster. One way is to pump the gas right when you go off a ramp and pump the gas again right when you hit the ground. This is pretty tricky to pull off. Another way is to ram into various rubble on the road to build up your boost meter and then you can push the boost button to ignite boosters. This will not only make you go way faster, but will allow you to, "takedown" other racers knocking them off the track. Really this one is a lot of fun. I highly recommend anyone play this especially with a friend. It doesn't matter if your a fan of Hummers or a racing buff or not. This game is so much fun it doesn't matter. It is Sega at their best. Unfortunately it was never ported so emulation via Teknoparrot or an actual arcade machine is the only way to go. Check this one out if you can.
