326 | WE HAD A PROBLEM ON OUR ROAD TRIP THROUGH NAMIBIA

We started our second day. The first destination was an incredible viewpoint, accessible only by 4x4. The climb was intense, but from up there, the view made it all worth it. We continued along Highway 707, crossing breathtaking landscapes in the heart of the Namib Desert. And in the middle of nowhere, literally, we found a lady with a super simple cafe selling homemade cakes and cookies. It was an unexpected and welcoming encounter — and it made everything even more special. At lunchtime, we stopped on the side of the road, and out of nowhere, a local family appeared, and we ended up sharing the meal with them. Late in the afternoon, we arrived in Betta — a small village in the middle of the desert. The car was a bit of a struggle, it wouldn't start, but in the end we managed to get to the campsite. We set up the tent on the roof of the truck, prepared dinner and ended the day under a completely starry sky. This road trip has been very reminiscent of our life on board: reduced space, everything well planned, and the freedom of always being on the move.
