Join me for a discussion on various issues, bugs, pros, cons, and problems that no one really talks about for pal pods in raids. These problems seem to stem from the fact that beds and pods aren't designed to function during raids and/or aren't implemented properly to do so. You've probably played with pal pods yourself and noticed these, and wondered if you were doing something wrong. But the issue isn't you in most cases. Pal pods are simply inconsistent and conferring penalties to your raid (in the form of bugs with pals getting stuck) or random benefits (in the form of infinite healing bugs). A solid rescue build I have used extensively is Heart of the Immovable King, Legend, Diamond Body, and Burly Body. Swift is good on slower pals, but Jetragon doesn't need Swift, making it an even stronger choice. It can also get Legend. In my view, Jetragon has such overwhelming rescue speed and toughness, it is the best rescue pal right now. Heart of the Immovable King is also excellent since it increases the amount of hits a pal can take before their SAN drops to red / zero and you need to intervene or replace the rescue pal. Xenolord Ultra hits rescue pals for a lot of damage no matter what pal type it is, and big hits reduce SAN massively. A red Sanity rescue pal may take breaks and refuse to work, and a 0 SAN rescue pal is useless to your raid. Build accordingly. To me, these issues with pal pods, despite the obvious benefits, are too incosistent and unpredictable, which is why I just started breeding mass armies to counter any raid boss without having to rely on pal pods.
