Let’s go for a walk to Philadelphia’s City Hall to take in the views of the city from the William Penn observation deck. The observation deck sits above City Hall and below the William Penn statue. Both were built in 1894, along with the rest of the City Hall tower by Alexander Milne Calder. The observation deck is open to the public and offers a 360-degree view of the city from a height of over 500 feet. It can be accessed by a small elevator that is 100 years old and has a hand crank to move. The elevator runs every 15 minutes. You can purchase tickets through The Philadelphia visitor center website. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for youth/students. Children 3 and under are free. Senior/Military tickets are $12.
