After Death, You Are With God or Away From Him The Bible teaches that after death, people are conscious and aware. For those who trust God: They are at peace They are with the Lord “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8) Jesus said to a man dying beside Him: “Today you will be with Me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43) This shows that life continues immediately after death. 3. There Will Be a Resurrection The Bible also teaches that one day, God will raise the dead. Souls will be reunited with new, restored bodies There will be no pain, death, or suffering “The dead will be raised imperishable.” (1 Corinthians 15:52) This is part of God’s final plan to restore everything. 4.
