However, even though it's located in the northern part of Manila, there is a South Caloocan located on the border of metropolitan Manila and Quezon City. Living in Pasay city as a foreigner Pasay is a famous spot for many travelers. The area is known for its karaoke bars, shopping malls, and art galleries. Pasay also has some great entertainment and nightlife, which is one reason why it's become a hotspot with travelers over the years. So the question is, what is the best area of Manila to live in? If money isn't a problem and you are interested in business, then two of the best areas are metropolitan Manila and Makati City. If you are looking to live in Manila but are looking for a slightly cheaper lifestyle, Pasig had some great places for less. If, however, you are looking for a relaxed lifestyle, it's often recommended to live outside of Manila.
