This band was formed in Oslo, Norway in 1982 by singer Morten Harket, guitarrist Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and keyboarder Magne Furuholmen. They had their breakthrough in 1985 with their song 'Take On Me' including a spectacular cartoon-vs.-real-life videoclip that won many awards. Since then the band has released 11 studio albums including the last one "True North" in 2022. They have sold over 100 million records combined (albums and singles).
