Help support this channel!   / needitmakeit   I don't know about you, but I'm often skeptical of new products, it's hard to know if they're bending the truth and getting us to buy with their marketing tactics. The Dyson fan design with the Air Amplification technology seems to me to be one of those cases. It looks pretty, but it's very expensive. They market it as a Bladeless fan, but it has blades in it, they're just in the base. Still Dyson has a pretty good reputation, so maybe it's not a gimmick and there is some real technology in there that we can adopt for 3D printing or possibly for making our own fans. We'll do the trash bag tests, we'll also do smoke tests and dive into the principles behind the design to see if it makes sense, and then we'll decide if it's worthy of using on some future projects.
